Cathy is a graduate from the University of Oklahoma, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Pedagogy. She worked on a Masters in Movement Therapy at Hunter College in NYC, and received a Post-Baccalaureate Pre-Med degree from Columbia University. She was a full scholarship recipient at several Dance Conservatories in NYC such as Martha Graham and Alvin Ailey.
Cathy found her way to Pilates through her extensive dance background to enhance her instrument to perform. Cathy has been practicing Yoga and Pilates since 1996. Cathy is certified through Physical Mind, Power Pilates, Polestar Pilates International and NPCP. She is a member with the NPCP (National Pilates Certification Program) and Yoga Alliance and is a member in good standing with American Fitness Association of America. She is also a member of NAPW (National Association of Professional Women). Cathy is the owner of SmartSpine and movement educator and host site for SmartSpine training. Cathy is also a Certified Fascial Stretch Specialist Level III. Certified Neurokinetic Therapist Level III, NMR Neuromuscular Reprogramming II, P-DTR Proprioceptive Deep Tendon Reflex Level III.
Cathy attends several continuing education conferences every year to learn and know the latest research and approach to movement, for clients with Osteoporosis, Scoliosis, Parkinsons, MS and all the spinal pathologies as well as women's health and the physically fit.
Kristi graduated from Arizona State University with her MBA in 2008 and had a successful career in Sales, Marketing, Recruiting and Human Resources. As a recovering workaholic, she started doing yoga in 2010. After having a child in 2017, she felt her body long for her yoga mat. In order to learn how to incorporate yoga as a lifestyle, Kristi decided to get her 200RYT yoga certification in 2019 with Toni Farris from Yoga Tree Plano. She's been actively teaching yoga since and is currently pursuing her 500RYT, and couldn’t love it more! Yoga has brought a sense of strength and empowerment to me and my body that has been so valuable. I love to share that same knowledge with others and see them grow in their practice and confidence. Kristi is trained as a Trauma-Informed Yoga teacher as well as in Vinyasa, Hatha, Restorative and Beginners Yoga. When Kristi is not on the mat, she's taking care of her family, listening to audio books and serving others by advocating for immigrants and refugees.
Sidra is passionate about teaching yoga so that people can live better lives. She began practicing yoga in 2003 because long hours of studying were negatively impacting her body and mind. She has since gained several certifications including RYT 200, Aqua Kriya Yoga Level 1, NASM CPT & CES, and ACSM CET. She is honored to be a part of the Pilates for Life team.
